Nominations open for 2022 Hampton Heroes program on Nov. 3
Zachary D'Amico

Nominations are now open for the 2022 Hampton Heroes program, which will be held on Thursday, Nov. 3, at 10 a.m. at Fridley Field.

The program will be moved indoors in the event of inclement weather.

If you know a veteran who lives or works in Hampton, is a graduate of Hampton High School, or is a relative of a current HTSD student or staff member, we urge you to consider nominating the veteran for recognition by filling out the form here: https://www.ht-sd.org/community/hampton-heroesoperation-recognition

Nominations are due by Oct. 22, 2022.

Additionally, this year’s guest speaker will be Dr. Elaine Berkowitz, who retired from the Army Reserves as a Lieutenant Colonel with 38 years of service.  She was deployed four times and has accumulated numerous medals and awards.

Since 2001, local veterans who have completed and returned the form have been invited to be honored guests at a program hosted at one of our schools around Veterans Day. To date, more than 200 men and women have been inducted and recognized as Hampton Heroes.

For more information, visit our website (www.ht-sd.org) and visit “Hampton Heroes/Operation Recognition” under the Community tab.
